brittney griner :jailed for nine years | wnba grinerwnba | brittney griner | brittany gerner today update

Brittany Gerner sentenced to 9 years in prison in Russia for drug offences.

The former Playboy model was found guilty in court of possession, distribution, and use of a narcotic drug, which is cocaine, while she was arrested for the same reasons. Brittney was also found guilty on charges that she entered the country illegally without authorization. She served 12 years behind bars before her sentence expired. It can be noted that she had been sent home to South Carolina. This is because after serving one year of probation, this was extended by 30 days until April 2019.

She pleaded not guilty to all the charges against her, but was found guilty in November of last year. While she was first sentenced for five years, then it was later upgraded to nine. Her defense attorney took issue with the fact that she would be going forward with these sentences after pleading not guilty. While many people are still baffled about why this happened, they think that there could have something to do with the failed drug test administered on April 6, 2018.

This was in respect to an incident where she tested positive for cocaine. As such, this time it was not enough to keep Brittney from returning home to visit family. What may seem strange is the fact that she did not plead guilty to any of the charges. Even so, the punishment for doing drugs is the least you will receive after being caught. A number of people were angry because the judge did not agree with the prosecution’s argument.

They felt like this was not fair since she had been given a second chance despite the evidence. In this case, her lawyer said that his client was “not entitled to another trial.” There is no law that says it should be done. That simply means that he wanted to get a conviction and go through with the rest of what happened so that she can return home and continue with life as she had left off earlier on in 2017. Overall, Brittney has moved into a much better lifestyle, which has helped her stay out of trouble and focus on her career.

The sentencing was quite lenient. At the end of the day, it was a fairly straightforward case. Though, Brittney is now living in Miami, Florida. No longer does she reside in prison but rather she lives at a nice house with her father and son, who is currently eight-years old. Though she will likely never get a chance to see them again. With all the attention and attention that she got as part of this situation, she will probably never make her fans feel like their favorite girl is back.

However, the fact that she is moving on with her life might just be too good to pass up. If she continues to make moves that show how different she is than most women out there, it will only lead to more popularity. There is always hope for change in any form. Now that she has had a chance to move on and go home, it is hard to imagine what else she would want to achieve next. We should keep in mind the fact that her arrest put her well away from others who may be thinking of doing something similar. Some other ladies may end up feeling trapped in the same way she did. Hopefully, things change soon so that Brittney can be able to look back at her past and not be ashamed of the choices she made.

I guess that's it. We all know her story. Although the world has changed and gone, this hasn't happened overnight. When we were young, we wanted a body like Britney, when we grew up to reach our adulthood, we wanted to have the looks, and now we want someone who would want the same for us. So if you've ever wondered what you wanted or thought that you didn't have, don't worry about what else your friends are doing. Life is short, and it happens to everyone.

Just remember:

You can be happy or even sad at any age, it doesn't matter if you've known them for a month or two from school or worked together for ten years. I believe that we should focus on ourselves. Think of what we can control. Maybe a few months of time to myself could give us a little bit of peace. Maybe it's possible to take your time before you ask someone to leave you for another person. Either way, we control our own timing. That could give us freedom to decide the kind of future we wish for. It could also be the start of a new life for yourself.

Take some time to truly analyze yourself and what you like or dislike. Then go to someone who can tell you exactly what you need. If that feels right, go for it! Don't let anybody hold a grudge against you. Keep your head down and ignore what anyone says about you. I wouldn't want my daughter to believe that someone wanted her or took advantage of her. Be confident in yourself and make sure to treat people like you want to be treated. Once you choose whom to spend the night with, you can spend the whole weekend with him or her.

Sometimes it seems a little overwhelming but we can make it work. If you want to get out, go for it, no matter who you are. And after you know what you want, it doesn't have to be a sexual act. Just take your time. Believe me when I say that everything is worth waiting for.

Brittney Griner American singer-songwriter, actress, and producer

Brittney Griner was born in New York City, the child of music professor Richard Griner III (née Griner) and his wife, Diane (née Pfeiffer). She studied classical piano at the Juilliard School in the late 1970s and began her career as a performing artist when she was sixteen. In 1980, Griner started working in film and television commercials, such as "Kung Fu Fighting" for MTV and "The Love Boat," in which she played Abby Mills. Her most well-known role is that of Katherine Heigl in Grey’s Anatomy and several episodes of The Twilight Zone, in which she had to have an affair with Patrick Stewart’s Edward Cullen.

She has won numerous awards, including two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in Television from 1983 to 1988, three Golden Globes Award, five Screen Actors Guild Awards, Academy Award nominations for Best Picture Nominee, and Grammy Awards. As one of only ten performers with multiple Academy Awards nomination titles, Griner's work has been nominated more than any other female performer on screen. She also received eight BMI Film Critics Circle Awards, five BAFTA Awards, four People Magazine Readers' Choice Awards and many others.

Griner has released six studio albums and sold over 20 million albums worldwide. Her first solo single, What A Wonderful World, was released through Columbia Records in 1981. Two years later, her second single, Dreams Just Gotta Come, peaked at No. 14 on Billboard's Rock Chart; it also went No. 14 on the pop music charts, making Griner one of the best-selling acts in history. It is ranked among several of Griner's songs, together with My Heart Will Go On and Everybody Loves You/Everybody's Still Loving You. Afterward, she became known for her rendition of Roxy Grant's ballad Heart Of Mine, which was number one on both the U.S. Pop Songs chart and Hot 100 in 1984 and was certified gold by the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

In 1985, Griner collaborated with Michael Jackson and wrote the song Be Free, which came out that year under the title of Motown Soundtrack Vol 1. It would become the soundtrack for Michael Jackson's fifth studio album and features the musical collaboration of Lionel Richie, Marvin Gaye, John Miles, Whitney Houston, James Brown, Keith Urban, Glen Campbell, and Bobby Womack. The video for this song featured a young Leonardo DiCaprio. They had planned another collaboration, but were thwarted by their differences over who should sing vocals on the track. "We had so much fun doing it," says Michael Jackson, who played trumpet on that version, and "it was the same energy we used on 'Be Free,'" he says.

In 1988, she made her feature-length directorial debut with When We All Fall Apart, for which she won a Palme d'Or prize at Cannes. In 1993, a second feature-length, Hard To Handle, followed, then a miniseries called This Is Me starring Meryl Streep.

Griner has produced and written for her own films, but she co-wrote her 2009 film, I Am Who You Are, with Ben Stiller, whose daughter Rachel Pierce plays Griner's eldest daughter, who died after being shot in 2011 and who now presides over a memorial garden in Los Angeles. Her son Stephen Pierce is currently writing and directing him. In 2014, she became embroiled in legal disputes with Universal Music Group, Warner Brothers, CBS Radio, AT&T Communications, Viacom Studios Inc., Sony Pictures Networks Worldwide Entertainment Division, CBS Films, Paramount Pictures Pictures, Showtime, and her ex-husband Michael Douglas. A judge eventually dropped all charges against Griner and others, and they resumed her acting duties.

In November 2016, Griner was inducted into the Hollywood Hall of Fame with the star cast of Grey’s Anatomy.
