Ans:- Advantages of Micro organisims:

Following are some advantages of microorganism.

1. Microorganisms help in the decomposition of dead bodies and organic wastes. Therefore, they clean the environment by removing dead bodies.

2. Nitrogen is essential for plant growth.Bacteria fix the atmospheric nitrogen in the soil and provides it to plants.

3. Some bacteria are used for making food products. Yogurt can be made with the help of bacteria

4. Bacteria help in the preparation of different medicines like antibiotics.

5. A fungus, yeast is used for  making cheese and many bakery products.

6. Microorganisms are important for many processes in our body. Some bacteria are  in our digestive system. They help in digestion of food.

7. Fungi are used in making valuable medicines including penicillin and vitamins tablets.

8. Some microorganisms are used for making vaccines. Vaccines are used for making strong defense systems in our bodies.

9. Same fungi called mushrooms are used as ingredients in recipes. They add flavor to meals. Edible mushrooms are used as food.

Disadvantages of microorganisms

Following are the disadvantages of microorganisms.

1. Microorganisms play key role in rotting food stuffs and ause decomposition and spoilage of food. Spoiled foods have bad smell and taste and cause many diseases.

2. Clothes, leathers, ropes and papers etc. Can also be damaged by fungal molds.
